'CmeB'

This project is based on creating a more inviting interior proposal to encourage students to have social concurrence on Level 5.

‘CmeB’ is a space designed to encourage students to view art work in a gallery space on Level 5. Surrounding them will be hanging art work from panels across the top of them on level 6 balcony. This concept is based on the human anatomy; the heart and the eye; exploring how the connections in the veins flow and travel through the body furthermore to mimic student connection.

The key word is ‘connection’, shown through the one colour orange which symbolises ‘creativity and success’ which what a student wants and has. Orange flows from the ‘eye’ glass box (overlooking the gallery space with stairs connecting a stairwell to level6) through the geometric panels on Level 6 linking to the pillars and then seating on level 5.Keeping the majority of the walls white gives a more clean, pure space for artwork and the purple on the lecture hall doors symbolise the independence of all students and the ambition that comes with art school. The natural light through the windows next to the seating creates a more brighter space for the hanging art work. Furthermore the mirrors on the window wall create a more open space, through the idea of ‘reflection’ in students and their work.
