I am a BDes (Hons) Interior and Environmental Design graduate of the University of Dundee, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. This degree, unique in the UK, drives conceptual thinking and the exploration of the social, artistic and architectural dimensions of interiors.

My work demonstrates a range of skills encompassing CAD (Computer-Aided Design), painting, sketching, and 3D model making. I particularly enjoy collage  as a way of experimenting with shapes, colour, material, texture and compositions. All these skills enable me to rework and manipulate ideas.

My view is that great design solutions connect people, space, and ideas, and I am passionate about creating unique and immersive environments.  I proactively engage with local and global issues and cultural trends, and develop these through design. I work collaboratively and enjoy presenting my work.

Having grown up in an environment where culture and the arts were highly valued, I have always been encouraged to be creative, dynamic and reflective whether through painting and drawing, as a violinist and pianist, or as an athlete competing at national level. I take  cues from a diverse range of influences. Designers and artists including Zaha Hadid, Yayoi Kusama, Aurora Robson and The Bauhaus, and music and fashion cultures, have broadened my imaginative scope and have inspired my work. Sustainability, the environment and ethical issues have informed my thinking and were integral to my final year project and dissertation.
